I just learned recently that you can have as many eBay user IDs as you want. I thought that there was a limit of four. It's good to have at least two IDs, one for buying and one for selling.
With each one, you'll have another opportunity to create an "about me" page. Which means you'll have more places to put links to your other sites, promote an affiliate product, etc.
With an about me page, you get to essentially rent some high traffic, quickly spidered real estate for free.
I suggest that you create some more eBay user IDs as soon as possible, buy some cheap e-books to get some inexpensive feedback, and then develop your about me pages.

Thats a great way to get some easy feedback without muddling your niche. Very cool tip, thanks!

Since eBay changed their rule about digitally downloadable items, you can't build your feedback quickly by buying cheap e-books anymore.

Still, I think it would be a good idea to open up more than one eBay account.

You can build up your feedback slowly, using your eBay IDs in rotation each time you buy or even sell something.

eBay is getting tougher to deal with, thank all the scammers for that.
